We are proud to announce the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Federal University of Pernambuco (Universidade Federal de Pernambuco – UFPE) and the New Holland Foundation (Fundação Nova Holanda – NHF).

The agreement was signed by Professor Alfredo Macedo Gomes, Rector of UFPE, and Oscar Frederik Hefting, Director of the New Holland Foundation, and will be in effect for five years from 1 May 2026.

This partnership provides a framework for collaboration in a range of areas, including:

– Student and academic exchanges
– Exchange of professors and researchers
– Sharing of academic knowledge and publications
– Development of joint research projects
– Joint educational and community outreach programmes
– Lectures, seminars and symposia

At the New Holland Foundation, we believe that meaningful international cooperation can connect people, knowledge and ideas — and create opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.
We are excited about the possibilities this partnership with UFPE will bring and look forward to working together on education, research, knowledge exchange and community engagement in the years ahead.
Here’s to new connections, shared knowledge and a strong academic partnership between Brazil and the Netherlands!
